Each junction box is fitted with independent potentiometers for individual cell trimming, giving technicians precise control over excitation or signal output on a per-cell basis. This makes it straightforward to balance multi-cell systems such as tank scales, hopper scales, and platform scales during commissioning or recalibration. A preinstalled GORE^® breather vent equalizes internal pressure and helps prevent moisture ingress, supporting stable signal performance over time, while captive stainless steel screws stay attached to the cover to reduce lost hardware during maintenance.

The enclosure accepts M16 cable fittings sized for 4mm to 8mm diameter cable on both the input and output sides, accommodating a range of load cell and system cabling configurations. Two trimming configurations are available: the J04EA-16 for excitation trim and the J04SA-16 for signal trim, allowing the junction box to be matched to the load cell resistance and calibration approach used in the application. ATEX, FM, and IECEx approved versions carry the “-Ex” suffix for use in hazardous area installations.
