The 563YSM2 is especially useful in process weighing applications such as batching tanks, mixing vessels, storage hoppers, silos, and platform scales in food and beverage, chemical, pharmaceutical, water treatment, and general industrial plants. The center-pivoted design allows the load cell to self-center after thermal expansion, vessel movement, or minor misalignment, reducing side-load effects and helping maintain repeatable weighing performance. Because the stainless steel construction resists corrosion and frequent washdown, the module is a practical choice for sanitary and harsh process environments where painted or carbon steel hardware would not hold up.

Designed for OEM integration, retrofit projects, and system integrators, the 563YSM2 is supplied without a load cell, allowing engineers to select the 563YS capacity that best matches the vessel and material load. The module uses an eight-hole mounting pattern with clearly defined mounting dimensions, simplifying installation on top and base plates and supporting multi-module vessel weighing systems. It is also dimensionally interchangeable with the Rice Lake RL1800 weigh module, making it a convenient option for replacement, upgrade, and cross-reference applications (note that the RL1800 minimum and maximum height is 5.25/5.56 in for 500 lb to 5,000 lb SE capacities).
