TGRIP-A Molding Rubber Strip
The ANYLOAD TGRIP-A T-Grip Molding is a super duty, heavy-gauge EPDM rubber T-molding strip engineered specifically for pit-type truck scale installations. Designed to seal the gap openings around the perimeter of pit-mounted truck scales, the TGRIP-A prevents debris, dirt, and foreign material from accumulating beneath the scale deck — a common cause of weighing inaccuracy, mechanical binding, and increased maintenance requirements.
Constructed from vulcanized EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) rubber, the TGRIP-A offers industry-leading rigidity and thickness for long-term performance in harsh outdoor weighing environments. The flange measures 5.5 inches wide and 0.5 inches thick, while the web is 0.5 inches thick and 2.5 inches deep — providing a firm, stable seal without the barbed web profile found on competing products that can cause scale binding and restrict free movement of the scale deck. The barb-free web design is a deliberate engineering choice to ensure that the molding protects the pit without interfering with weighing performance.
EPDM rubber is well suited for outdoor truck scale applications due to its exceptional resistance to weathering, UV exposure, ozone, and aging, as well as its ability to withstand water, steam, acids, and many polar substances. The material performs reliably across a broad temperature range of -40°F to +248°F (-40°C to +120°C), making it appropriate for year-round use in cold-weather and high-temperature climates alike.
The TGRIP-A is available in a 200-foot roll (TGRIP-A-200 ft) with a self weight of approximately 225kg (496lb) and a shipping weight of approximately 283kg (624lb).
